Both Dr. Kang and Dr. Lara are trained and have many years of experience in performing surgery for thyroid and parathyroid disease. Whether it be for surgical treatment for cancer, large nodules causing compression, or hyperfunctioning nodules or adenomas, our surgeons use the latest technology and perioperative care protocols to avoid surgical complications and ensure surgery success. Most often these surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis or with an overnight stay. We employ plastic surgery wound closure technique to minimize the appearance of the surgical scar. We work closely with our endocrinology, pathology, and oncology colleagues to foster a “team approach” to ensure complete and thorough treatment for these conditions.
